Next Red Sox Offseason Move?

'Comeon Theo, a big bat right? Youre not going to let a 30 HR 100 RBI guy walk away and get nothing to replace it right?!....Adrian Gonzalez? ....Matt Holliday? ...hello?'

So by now, I'm hoping Red Sox nation has come to the realization that Theo Epstein is all set and ready to go with this lineup coming in April:

1.) Ellsbury    LF
2.) Pedroia     2B
3.) Martinez   C
4.) Youkilis  1B
5.) Ortiz         DH
6.) Beltre       3B
7.) Cameron  CF
8.) Drew         RF
9.) Scutaro     SS

I know 1-5 is definite, but after that it doesn't really matter how it goes. But my point I'm trying to get here is The Next Red Sox Offseason Move is February 12th, when the trucks load up for spring training. I know, i know it might bum out some of you fans. 'Where's the offense?!'
All in all Theo referred to his defense last season as 'one of the worst.' So heading into this offseason, defense was his top priority. The newly acquired gloves consist of Scutaro, Cameron, and Beltre. With a great solid defense, the less runs are scored, and that leaves less work for our offense to give some run support for this all star calibar pitching rotation. Possible prediction for some games this season; heading into the 8th or 9th with a 2-0 or 3-2 lead feeling confident handing the ball over to Josh Bard/ Papelbon, OR on the flop side; being down 3-1 or 5-4 in the late innings, and if any of the 1-5 hitters aren't going to be coming up to bat, youre not going to be expecting any walk off home runs from mike cameron or j.d drew/ scutaro. I leave Beltre out of that group because I have faith in him for this coming season.
If Adrian has a healthy year, you could be looking at an extremely versatile 3rd baseman. I know you're probably wondering, "Jeremy you dumbass, he only hit 8 homeruns for SEA last year" i know. But there's just something coming to Boston for Adrian Beltre I think will boost up his efforts to step up for this Boston lineup. Watching highlights of this player when he's up to bat. Man when he makes contact with the ball, he bombs that ball. Bomb is an understatement, it's like a cannon being lit on his bat before the pitch, then when he swings BOOM. it's crushed. Playing in Seattle I don't think there was any drive, compared to coming to a postseason bound team, he should be bringing his full potential on offense and defense. We already know he will flash the glove better than Lowell.--speaking of Lowell by the way. Poor guy, huh?? How many more different ways can you tell him, 'the Red Sox didn't want the Grandpa Mikey Lowell around anymore?' I have the utmost respect for him and I'll always remember him as a successful player for the Red Sox. You might forget but this guy was the WORLD SERIES MVP in 07. Now its hit the road jack.
Next year Beckett's contract will be up, and we could be without both players we received in return from the Hanley Ramirez trade.. It sure would be nice to have him play us still. But it's baseball. I've learned never to let the thought that a player truly wants to stay with a team. You wanna talk about Money or Happiness? Ask MLB players. The only players in baseball that are true to their teams are players like Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken Jr., those who either play their whole career on a team or majority of the career. For example! The most recent Jason Bay, was becoming a star in Boston replacing the disfunctional Manny Ramirez. He had everything going for him. But all because we don't offer him an extra $6 million dollars you're going to turn down the option to come back. Wow. I'm speechless with situations like these. But it's baseball. It's a business. Jason Bay, what do you need the $6 million for? Did your family want to go travel everywhere over the winter?? Who. Knows. Enough already. It's like a relationship, he broke up with us, for someone else. Whatever, more fish in the sea right? :) that's for good ol' Mike Cameron to fill in!
J.D. Drew, in my opinion, hasn't really gotten my interest in him whatsoever. The only thing I'll tip my cap to him about is the grand slam in the 07 ALCS. Eh, and I don't even think we needed it. But he's most certainly not been worth his money. I'm going to be pretty pumped when he leaves..unfortunately he still has a couple more years to go. And it's not like he did anything wrong. But when you get payed the big bucks, you gotta show for it..and we're all still waiting. We'll just have to see.

But yes, our lineup for Opening Day is done. Power is scarce, but I'm looking for one of the guys at the bottom of the lineup to come through or someone to have a career year. 2010 is looking promising for the Red Sox. Enjoy it.

Comment, lemme know what you guys think about baseball players and their love for the money and not the team.
Does anyone else dislike J.D. Drew as much as me?
And what are your predictions for this upcoming season?

Thanks for reading guys! Spread the link/word please.
