If It Weren't For The Celtics, Hell Would Take Over

Enough said. I'd have to say half of Boston doesn't realize the Boston Red Sox 21-20, 8.5 games back, record.

You're lucky.

If the Boston Celtics weren't in the hunt for a rematch of the 2008 Finals, this city would be in flames. Theo would be forced to make a move for someone, and some players would be brutally booed enough to send them packing out of town. Even though I might be exaggerating, it's pretty close to the possible damage that could be done to this baseball team.

Look Theo, you guys haven't evolved into a defensive team. We're an average team on defense. We have the worst pitching in the AL. The only good move you'd made so far this season is not releasing Big Papi. He's having a hot May, and FINALLY he's producing.

All I'm sayingis, once the basketball season is over, the Sox better put on their bullet proof vests. There's no way possibly these fans would be this silent about their home team if baseball was the only sport going on. Clearly the division seems to be headed into the Rays direction, and a possible Yankee Wild Card.

It's going to be a long hot summer. And I guarantee you, it's not going to be a quiet one.

On a side note: The Washington Wizards won the first pick in this 2010 draft. Good for them. They have a great coach in Flip Saunders, they were shot down early in the season after Gilbert Arenas was suspended for the rest of the season after bringing a firearm as a joke into the clubhouse. Real funny. With them most likely selecting John Wall, they would be playing two of the best point guards in the league. Could Washington possibly not tolerate Arenas' actions and trade him away? Either way, I look for the Wizards to improve BIG time this offseason.

The 76ers will stack up with possibly adding Evan Turner as the number 2 pick. Just imagine Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner on the outside. That could be deadly.

Apologies to my cousin Jared. He's an embaressed New Jersey Nets fan, having the worst record last season, and they only get the 3rd pick. Yikes. That will scratch the Nets off of Lebron's list. I think he would've signed with them if they were getting John Wall. In my eyes, I see him as Chicago bound.

We'll see!

Thanks for taking the poll! If you haven't, take it!!

P.S. Enough of already slating the Celtics to the Finals. Already everyone's doubting the Magic. I'm not. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Celtics fan. But so what if the Celtics are up 2-0. All of this talk, the media, and Paul Pierce's "hacked" Twitter, is only fueling Orlando's fire. The last thing we need is for the Magic to start getting hot. So let's tone down the cockiness, and focus on winning games 3 and 4. I want to get out of this series as quick as possible.

This has gotta be the most challenging test of a playoff run I've seen any team have to take. D Wade and the Miami Heat in the first round, Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round, Dwight Howard and the defending East champions now, and then possibly the defending champions in the Finals (Lakers). Let's do this.
