NFL Draft Only A Couple Weeks Away/What's In Store For New England

Only a couple more weeks to go! There's a lot of talent in this years draft class, but who will go 22nd to the Patriots?

There are so many areas that New England needs to fill. With the complete absence of Free Agent signings, Belichick is expected to make some steals in the trade. Recent news posted that Dez Bryant recently worked out for the team in Gillette. This was completely unexpected, but it's a need.

Dez Bryant is an incredibly talented wide receiver from Oklahoma State University. The only downside is his personality. It's not completely there. He lied to the NCAA last year about meeting with NFL alumni Deon Sanders, which cost him to be suspended for the majority of the 2009 season.
But bad attitudes haven't plagued the Patriots at all, especially with Bill Belichick as the coach. This past season, coach sent home Randy Moss, Adalius Thomas, and Gary Guyton, from practice after showing up to practice late due to bad driving weather. Randy Moss had a bad past in Minnesota and Oakland with his behavior, but ever since he's gotten to New England he's shut his mouth, and caught touchdowns. Dez Bryant could be an incredible addition to the slot, especially with the absence of Wes Welker in the beginning of the season. Imagine Moss, Bryant, Edelman, then eventually Welker on the line running a route. If I were the opposing secondary, you'd want to double cover everyone. Also, another plus is Randy Moss plans to play in New England until the end of his contract. He said he wants to test out the free agency market when his time is done, so Dez Bryant could be our future star receiver. So if they choose to pick this young man from Oklahoma State University, New England fans shouldn't be worried. It could work out.

These are some other names you might here in the first or second round:

                                                      Jared Odrick:

This guy is a beast from Penn State. Definitely on the Patriot's mind to help out Vince Wilfork on the line for some pass rush. He'd most likely be on the Defensive End or Outside Linebacker position due to the 3-4 defense we run. He'd be a big boost to this defense, and finally, put some pressure on the opposing Quarterback.

                                         Brandon Graham:

Brandon Graham is alike Odrick, except he's more of an Outside Linebacker. So the versatility from the outside is mind blowing. He'd assist Jerod Mayo in rushing the Quarterback, and the Patriots could begin to get rid of their old knees on defense, replacing them with fresh ones.

                                        (2nd Round) Tim Tebow:

The only reason people will watch past the first round is to see where Tim Tebow will land. I personally could see him landing with New England. He could develop and backup Pro Bowler Tom Brady, and eventually be a leader of this rich franchise. I'd love this addition, and I'm one of the believers who think Tebow will eventually be an NFL Quarterback. He has the drive and work ethic to be anything he wants to be. He led Florida to dominance, and he can eventually lead us.

New England is a team to watch in this years draft. Belichick hasn't told anyone anything about his scheme on Draft Day. No one expects to hear anything either. He knows what he's doing, and most likely will shock everyone. But whatever works.
